In displaying your own galleries to site visitors, you have three options: the Classic Carousel, the Mosaic Carousel or the Slider.

(Perfect for both portrait and landscape images. Carousel background can be white or black.)
(For landscape images only)
IMAGE DIMENSIONS, SIZES & LABELS
Please follow these instructions carefully in collating your images.
Every image must be 1200px wide by 800px high for landscape and 800px wide by 1200px high for portrait orientation.
Aim for images between 200-400KB.
Please label your images as follows: Business Name, Specific Gallery, Order in the Gallery
Eg. “Craig Kirkby Photography, Wedding Gallery, 001”
Number of Images
For the Carousel, we need 6, 12 or 18 images per gallery.
Why? The Carousel displays the images in columns of 3 on desktop and tablet, and columns of 2 on mobile. Thus, to have an even display of images on all three platforms, we need 6, 12 or 18 images. For instance, while 9 images will look good on desktop (3 rows by 3 columns), you’ll have 4 rows of 2 images on mobile … with one left over. Not great.
(If you want images that are both landscape and portrait orientation, you’ll need to keep this in mind for both types. For example, aim for 12 landscape images and 6 portrait images. Or 6 of each.)
For the Mosaic Carousel, aim for 15-18 images with a mix of images of portrait and landscape orientation. The actual display or positioning of each image in the carousel is subject to the carousel’s algorithm.
For the Slider, aim for 10-15 images per gallery. (Too many images can slow the page-loading speed.)
- Don’t forget to include a watermark on each image.
- Please save the images as PNG or JPEG.
